This team is recruiting for 5-8 physicians in all medical specialties with an emphasis on pediatric and adult infectious disease, Ob/GYN, and General Surgery.  In addition, we would like to have advanced practitioners in nursing, nurse educators, radiology, and ultrasound technicians.  Website: https://borromeohospital.com/ 

Topics to Teach: General Medicine topics with emphasis on Ob/Gyn and Pediatrics, hospital administrative training, and nursing.
 
Teaching Types: Didactic conference style WITH bedside teaching component and clinic monitoring.

All individuals, irrespective of their age or position, are required to submit an application if they wish to join an MEI Team.  Upon approval, there is a $250 non-refundable registration fee required.  MEI is happy to offer a member discount to all CMDA members with $100 off their registration fee, resulting in a reduced fee of $150.  Non-medical professionals or spouses who become part of an MEI team will also pay a reduced registration fee of $100.00.

Acceptance and payment of the Emergency Evacuation Insurance coverage will be required to enroll participants at ~$4.69/person/day.  This policy begins from the date of departure to the date of return. 

An annual background check is mandatory for all MEI participants.  

In-country cost is $500/person. This fee covers the in-country logistical expenses which include, lodging, meals, and transportation.  

MEI will bill each individual according to their travel dates, CMDA member status, and position on the team. Payment of all charges is required 30 days prior to the scheduled departure.
