All subspecialties welcome for a multi-site educational trip to eastern Nigeria. Costs TBD.
All individuals, irrespective of their age or position, are required to submit an application if they wish to join an MEI Team. Upon approval, there is a $250 non-refundable registration fee required. MEI is happy to offer a member discount to all CMDA members of $100 off their registration fee, resulting in a reduced fee of $150. Non-medical professionals or spouses who become part of an MEI team will also pay a reduced registration fee of $100.00.
The acceptance and payment of the Emergency Evacuation Insurance coverage and an annual background check is obligatory for all participants.
MEI will bill each individual according to their travel dates, CMDA member status, and position on the team. Payment of all charges is required 30 days prior to the scheduled departure.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- MEI is required to do annual background checks for all participants.
- Updated passport valid with at least 12 months after trip dates.
Responsibilities
- Participate on pre-trip conference call with team leader and attendees.
Restrictions
- You must be able to walk at least a mile.
- You will need a visa for Nigeria if you have a US passport.
Preparation
- Discuss with team leader your topics for lecture preparation.
