Join MEI on a teaching team at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Arusha, Tanzania, June 25-30, 2023. This team is scheduled immediately following the International CMDA World Congress ICMDA World Congress 2023 – Arusha Tanzania, so you might consider attending that if you have the time to do both. Most of the teaching would be for residents both in didactic sessions and on the wards/rounds. The topics of most interest are:
Cardiology
Endocrinology - the thyroid gland including hyper- and hypothyroidism and neuroendocrinology.

Non-Member Registration $250.00
Everyone pays $4.10/day/person for emergency evacuation insurance regardless of age or position on the team.
Cardiology
- Heart block
- Heart Failure
- Acute coronary syndrome
- Principle of stress /exercise EKG
- Arrhythmias
- Infective endocarditis

Responsibilities
- Visas are purchased at the airport with Euros or US dollars. Exact change is needed. Bring at least $75 in cash, although last year the visa was about $60.
- Update immunizations.
- Participate on pre-trip conference call with team leader and attendees.
- Malaria prophylaxis recommended.
Restrictions
- Must be able to walk at least 1 mile unassisted.
