Moldova - Primary Care/Community Health
MEI Moldova Primary Care/Community Education
Our team has been invited by the Young Life Capernaum ministry to train YL volunteers and family members caring for teenagers with cerebral palsy and other special needs kids. We are looking for physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech/language pathologists willing to do home visits, assessing patients, caregivers, and available resources, showing caregivers what to look for, outlining and demonstrating a treatment plan, and possibly doing follow-up vists as time allows.
Our trip is scheduled for 4-17 October. Participants need not be present for the entire two weeks, if unable to get time off, but must commit to at least a week (five working days). If time allows, they may also work with the Clinica Emanuel Home Care team, serving post-stroke and other disabled patients.
Each team member must arrange and pay for their own airfare.
It is highly recommended that each participant traveling outside the US complete the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP): https://mytravel.state.gov/s/step
