Join MEI on a teaching team at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre( KCMC) in Moshi, Tanzania, April 16-24, 2026. KCMC is a greater than 600-bed hospital serving the northern zone of Tanzania. It provides both inpatient and outpatient services with training programs in multiple specialties. It is also located adjacent to and associated with Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College, which offers multiple professional medical training programs.
The goal of the mission is to provide specialty-oriented peer interaction with the KCMC consulting staff and teaching residents in medicine, family practice, etc. The teaching for the residents would include both didactic sessions and on the wards/rounds.
The specialties requested, but not limited to, include: Cardiology, Pulmonary/Critical care, Family medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, Medical Educator/Faculty Development(mostly for the medical university, etc.
It is highly recommended each participant traveling outside the US to complete the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP): https://mytravel.state.gov/s/step

Responsibilities
- Apply for a multi-entry visa online.
- Update immunizations.
- Participate on pre-trip conference call with team leader and attendees.
- Malaria prophylaxis recommended.
- All participants are encouraged to self-enroll in Smart Traveler Enrollment Program: https://mytravel.state.gov/s/step

- Must be able to walk at least 1 mile unassisted.
